Recology Bear-Proof Carts

Recology Ashland Sanitary Service, in cooperation with the Ashland Wildlife Committee, is now offering "bear-proof' containers at cost to our customers inside the Ashland urban growth boundary. If it keeps out bears, it keeps out raccoons, opossums, and the neighborhood dogs. The cart is wheeled for ease of movement and is cleverly designed to allow easy opening for humans but not animals.

Customers may purchase these containers, or "lease to own" them. The purchase price for a "bear-proof" container is $156.65. The cost of the "lease to own" option is $6.53 per month, for 24 months. At the end of the 24-month period, the customer will own the container.

These containers are custom made for BearSaver, Ontario, CA. Recology will endeavor to keep a small supply of these containers on hand, but please allow approximately six weeks from time of order for delivery. These specialized carts are manufactured to order, and are not generally stocked by the supplier. Therefore, lead times approximate 45 days.

Model PC-32 Bear Resistant, 32 Gallon Rolling Poly Cart

Bear Resistant Poly cart, steel reinforced, push-to-close latching system. Designed for manual and semi-automated service. Can be used for automated service by unlatching cart the morning of service.

PC-32 carts are only available in Grizzly versions.
